IMA is percussionist and improviser Nava Dunkelman (Japan) and electroacoustic composer and sound artist Amma Ateria (Hong Kong). IMA depicts expressionistic noise music of Japanese poetry by deconstructing and dissolving heavy music through restraint and release. The Flowers Die In Burning Fire, the debut album of IMA, tells an anecdote of the inevitable notion of time, change, decay, the vanished, and rebirth.
