This American Blues is the debut L.P. from punk legend Chip Kinman of the Dils, with his brother and longtime collaborator Tony Kinman on Production and co-writing. Mining what Chip calls punked-blues the band is described by Jack Rabid of Big Takover thusly: the squalling guitars are like Albert King, Eric Clapton and young Jimi Hendrix expansions of Chess blues, with a Jean Genie stomp The blue clear vinyl L.P. is housed in an old school foldover jacket that has been hand silk screened by the band. It includes a download code and a punky lyric sheet.
