'Stardust' was originally released on Prestige Records in 1963 and is the assembled from two separate unissued recording sessions from the RVG studio in 1958, Features Coltrane on tenor sax with Wilbur Harden on flugelhorn and trumpet, Freddie Hubbard on trumpet, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Jimmy Cobb and Arthur Taylor on drums.
This vinyl reissue is one in a series of special 2014 releases commemorating the 65th anniversary of Prestige Records and the 90th birthday of legendary recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder.
