Shaggys upcoming album, Lottery, takes its name from a personal philosophy that has guided his three decade career: always bet on yourself. Largely self produced alongside longtime collaborator Shane Hoosong, the 13 track project reflects Shaggys enduring identity as the self described king of hybrid music, freely moving between dancehall, reggae, pop, R&B, and hip hop while staying unmistakably Jamaican. The album opens with the faith driven God Is Amazing, followed by the brooding title track featuring Jeremih, and continues with highlights such as Boom Body with Akon and Aidonia, and Til A Mawnin, a tribute to legendary dancehall producer Henry Junjo Lawes that reached the Top 40 on Billboards Rhythmic chart in late 2025. Lottery blends a host of veterans like Sting, Beres Hammond, Robin Thicke, and Anthony Hamilton with emerging voices like 450, Noah Powa, and Olaf Blackwood. The album presents a portrait of an artist still defining success on his own terms, staying true to self, and the conviction that trusting the work remains the ultimate winning ticket.
