OUT, on Last Gang Records, recorded throughout the year in Montreal and Toronto. Single Monster Hospital will hit the airwaves during the last week in August, and, in support
of the new album, Metric will kick off an extensive US tour, beginning October 2nd at The Paradise in Boston.
Metric, who once considered themselves a bit of a vagrant band, citing the likes of Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Toronto and London home, became identified with the Canadian Invasion
around the time of OLD WORLD''''s release. However, extensive European and US touring, as well as great critical success brought Metric fans from all over the world - the band was
featured on MTV Latin America in a band-to-watch type program (the band was also featured on MTV''''s You Hear It First here in the States); Metric received 4.5 out of 5 stars in
the French Edition of Rolling Stone; the band was also featured in various Japanese, Swedish and British magazines, and earlier this summer, Metric played an exclusive live set
on London''''s XFM radio, previewing music from the upcoming album.
In the US, Spin wrote that Metric rocks like a sexy librarian: smart, sassy, and classy and Rolling Stone said This...quartet artfully fuses Brit pop, punk guitar and swirling
