Morgan Myles is a powerhouse vocalist with a remarkable five-octave range, whose talent
has captured the attention of millions, aided by her top 3 finish on the 2022 season of NBC's
The Voice. During her recent Grand Ole Opry debut, Myles received a standing ovation; a
testament to her authentic artistry and hard-earned success. A multi-instrumentalist and
relentless touring artist, Myles performs over 150 shows a year, garnering recognition from
major outlets including Billboard, American Songwriter, and Rolling Stone.
Myles' new album 'Laced' was recorded at Dave's Room Studio in California with GRAMMYwinning
producer Ross Hogarth (Van Halen, Ziggy Marley). David Grissom (John
Mellencamp, the Allman Brothers Band) served as band leader adn guitarist, on the project
alongside bassist Jorgen Carlsson (Gov't Mule), drummer Jimmy Paxson (Fleetwood Mac),
and guitarist and mandolin player Jedd Hughes (Rodney Crowell). Myles Co-wrote the entire
album with an impressive list of songwriters including David Grissom, Gary Nichols (former
lead vocalist of The SteelDrivers, following Chris Stapleton), Brian White (Rodney Atkins,
Jason Aldean), Ethan Hulse (Zach Williams, Tauren Wells), Jeff Cohen (Josh Groban, The
Band Perry), and Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow).
"There is no Auto-Tune on this record," Myles emphasizes. "Everything is real. For me, the
most important part is that when people hear this record, they come to a show, and it
sounds like me. It's not fabricated."
Myles first captured national attention as a top three finalist on NBC's The Voice, where she
earned the fastest four-chair turn in the show's history and praise from her coach, Camila
Cabello. "[Morgan] has such a gorgeous tone," Cabello says. "She sings with her soul and
makes people feel. I really think Morgan could be the next country-pop-soul whatever
superstar."
Myles credits her experience on The Voice in 2022 for boosting her confidence and giving
her validation as an artist.
"Seeing the response to 'Hallelujah' and the Lady Gaga song ['Always Remember Us This
Way'] I sang about the loss of my cousin, showed me not to be ashamed of my vulnerability,
not to hide away from it," she says. "Vulnerability builds such love and trust amongst other
people and listeners." It's this vulnerability that Myles continues to embrace on Laced,
during her live show, and on social media, in hopes that listeners will do the same.
"Whatever you're feeling, there's a song for you," she says. "I've lost a lot of people in my life
that I was extremely close to. I've been hurt by a ton of people, but I keep going, and I think
people are seeing that as strength.
"The more trials and tribulations you go through, you get stronger, and then you see that
vulnerability is beautiful, and you find your purpose is even stronger," she adds. "I believe I'm
on this earth to do what I'm doing, and hopefully one day, God will give me a bigger platform
for it, so I can connect with more people and hopefully do some good."
