The result is this 1959 debut album, a bluesy and swinging date with Gillespie's drummer Lex Humphries and bassist Ray Brown. Highlights include the original Jubilation and Cole Porter's Love For Sale. The Verve By Request Series features 180-gram vinyl, pressed at Third Man in Detroit.
