IT'S A PLEASURE (LP)

Following on from Dury's acclaimed 2011 album Happy Soup, his new album It's A Pleasure has been worked on in the world's best equipped studios in cities including Paris and New York - also loads of it ended up being recorded in Dury's living room. It was a massive exhaustive exercise in how to waste money, tears and emotions, half jokes Dury of the album's creation, which saw him principally work alongside guitarist friend Mike Moore, although members of Babyshambles also contributed to the process before Arcade Fire and Arctic Monkeys collaborator Craig Silvey mixed it. If I had a bit more foresight and intelligence it could have been alot more comfortable. It's an enormously expensive fuck up in many ways, but fun though. I enjoyed it! .??Baxter Dury originally signed to Rough Trade in 2002 to release his acclaimed debut album Len Parrot's Memorial Lift. Although he first appeared on his father, lan Dury's New Boots And Panties album in 1977 on the front cover photo. Baxter's subsequent releases Floor Show (2005), Happy Soup (2011) all gathered must praise worldwide.??The album was produced by Baxter and mixed by Craig Silvey (Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, The Horrors).
